AXIOMA APRIL 25th 2009
A self-evident or universally recognized truth
DJ PIERRE
Back in the day when acid was just a tab, DJ Pierre was holed up in his bedroom inventing a sound which would impact on the music scene forever. In 1986, ‘acid house‘ was in its infancy when DJ Pierre picked up a 303 and the infamous “Acid Tracks” was born.
Not many artists in the history of dance music can list Carl Cox, Diesel (X-Press 2), Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Michael Mayer (Kompakt Records), and Tom Stephan as fans. Not many can claim responsibility for helping kick start the careers of Felix Da Housecat and Roy Davis Jr. Not many can lay claim to giving birth to a genre and pioneering a sound that had the whole world dancing and imitating for over fifteen years. DJ/Producer/Remixer, Nathaniel Pierre Jones AKA DJ ‘Wildpitch’ Pierre is a rare breed. An artist who’s considered a mentor to many of the ‘A’ list DJ fraternity, old and new, and one man who continues to stand strong in an industry that’s had its ups ‘n’ downs.
From the days of ‘Phuture’, Pierre’s highly successful guise with fellow squelchers Spanky and Herb J - and their epic release ‘Acid Trax’, to his biggest hit ‘The Horn Song’, featuring Barbara Tucker, his solo projects with David Morales, Felix Da Housecat and his stint as Head of A&R at Strictly Rhythm, DJ Pierre is a force to be reckoned with.
After a bit of a break to get prepped for Dj Pierre’s Afro Acid Project’, his very first artist album, DJ Pierre is back and ready to show the world just why house music was worth shouting about in the first place.
“I feel a renewed sense of direction in my career. I’ve never had so many positive things in place at one time like I do now. I have my own wonderful team at DJP Muzik and I can be hands off business enough to create and make the music I love. I am very excited about being head of my own label and the opportunity to make my first full album. I am humbled by what’s happening.” - DJ Pierre
ACID CIRCUS
The other founding half of Droid Behavior, Acid Circus is comprised of brothers Vangelis and Vidal Vargas.
In an industry where DJ’s no longer dominate the action with pressed wax, live PAs have taken digital mixing to another level. No strangers to tweaking and freqing everything within ear shot, over the last 5 years the members of acid circus have constantly displayed the art of techno live performance. Dropping tracks, remixes, samples, mashups, left hooks, and techno grime in and out of the mix has become an ultimate trip in pure crowd reaction at LA undergrounds.
Operating mainly on laptops, they smash the myth that laptop techno is meant for computer geeks to glitch out to in front of their monitors. their live performances are intense, energetic, raw and hype as fuck.
Their unique and aggressive mix of electro, house, and every strain of techno in between has placed Acid Circus alongside major players Adam Beyer, Magda, Speedy J, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, John Tejada, Fanon Flowers, and Neil Landstrumm through out LA’s best parties. More then just supporting acts for these world class DJ’s, Acid Circus has held their own with captivating performances as well releases on Droid recordings and DJ Bone’s Subject Detroit and earned their recognition and respect as LA heroes.
Besides acting as ambassadors for the LA sound all over California as well as Chicago, New York, and Philly, they have been involved with every aspect of LA’s techno movement and spearheaded it in many ways. From the online magazine Dnode, to A&R and PR for the Droid recordings label, to extensive event promotion and production, the members of Acid Circus have helped create a social network of DJ’s, promoters, producers, and fanatics that all support rather then competes. Acid circus is an integral part of Droid Behavior. www.mypsace.com/acidcircus

LUKE ALAN
Starting in August of 2008, Luke Alan launched Home Radio. Luke’s love for house music is about as passionate as it gets. He absolutely loves to share his music with anyone who understands house music and even those that WILL, and what better way to do that then to start a pod-cast! Luke Alan and his friends wanted a way where they could share their love to more listeners and house lovers all over the world for free! And thus began Home Radio.
Home Radio brings you all the best in house music. There are many many types of house music but in the end it is all HOUSE! Luke Alan and friends bring you live mixes of whatever they feel in their heart and soul. We here at Home Radio are firm believers in “If you don’t feel it, Don’t play it.” in doing so, we spin chicago, jackin, funky, electro, soulful, dance, groovin, deep, techy house. The mixes will always hold to one specific genre but they will most likely bring you a different genre every week!
We understand house music; it’s a spiritual thing, a body thing, a soul thing.
Home Radio is a weekly show. You can expect a brand new show every single week and maybe even some guest dj shows!
We will try our best to keep you locked in that groove and will always promise that here at Home Radio we are all about the music!
Peace, love, unity, respect, house
